Primary Cover Gasket & Seal Kit 

for 1994-1999 Harley Touring (“Bagger”)

This gasket kit includes all the gaskets, seals and O-rings shown in the photo.

The primary (chain) cover gasket is a nominal 0.050″ (~1.25mm) thickness fibre material, silicone beaded on one side as shown in the photo. It will come to you perfectly flat. We never fold, roll or otherwise allow any gasket to get damaged in shipping.
If you prefer a foamet primary gasket – we also have kits with the foamet gasket at very good prices!
The big difference between the gaskets is that the foamet gasket (rubber on both sides of a steel core) is stiffer and re-usable, whereas the fibre gaskets usually don’t work very well if you try to re-use them. Please see another one of our listings or ask us about a kit with the foamet gasket.

The derby / clutch cover gasket is foamet – rubber on both sides of a steel core. It will not leak and no sealant is necessary. On top of the rubber, it has silicone beading on one side.

A derby cover O-ring seal is also included in this kit. (It’s the thicker one in the photo – the thinner one is for the inner primary.) You probably will want to use the derby cover gasket instead so will not need it – but always nice to have a backup!
Note that this kit has a 3-hole derby cover gasket. If your derby cover has 5 screw holes, we have another kit for you with a 5-hole derby gasket. The 5-hole kit with the same primary gasket, is about the same price as this one.

The inspection cover gasket has been upgraded to Foamet – rubber on both sides of a steel core.

The two oil seals included are exactly the ones you will need – one for the inner-primary-to-mainshaft, and the other for the starter shaft.
