Primary Cover Gasket and Seal Kit   

for 1989-1999 Harley Softail & Dyna

This gasket kit includes all the gaskets, seals and O-rings shown in the photo.

Primary Gasket is Foamet – rubber on both sides of a steel core that should get you a perfect seal every time without applying sealant.

P.S. If you don’t like foamet gaskets, just let us know! We can substitute fibre gaskets for any of them (or see one of our other listings).

Other flat gaskets The inspection cover gasket is also foamet so you can be sure of an excellent seal there, too.  The two spacer washers (you might call them “tower washers”) that are used from 1994 up are foamet with adhesive on one side. And that’s why one looks white in the photo – we turned it over so you can see the protective film covering the adhesive.

O-rings There are two large O-rings in the kit. The thicker, smaller OD one is for the derby cover. The thinner but larger OD O-ring is for the inner primary cover to case.

Oil seals All three oil seals needed to complete the job are included.

  Includes 2 starter shaft oil seals – one for 1989 to 1993, and the other for 1994-up. (Note: One customer reported that he had an Early 1994 engine with the old 1993 starter shaft seal, so you’re covered either way.)

  The two spacers (“tower washers”) are foamet with adhesive backing on one side.

  O-rings for derby cover, and for inner primary-to-case.
