Engine Rebuild Gasket Kit   

for 1982-85 Ironhead Sportster 1000

Pkg of 1 kit  – Accel# 38450 (replaces 17026-82)

This is a complete engine rebuild gasket, seal and O-ring kit for the 1982 through 1985 model year 1000cc Ironhead Sportster.

The head gaskets are standard 0.046″ (1.2mm) thickness Copper. The base gaskets are 0.031″.

Actual Photo   The photo with this listing is an actual picture of the parts included in the kit that will be shipped to you. You will receive every gasket, seal and O-ring shown in the photograph. (The colors of some gaskets may vary.)  However…we accidentally took a picture of the wrong primary gasket (the previous design). You can be sure your kit will have the correct primary cover gasket in it!

We double inspect every kit to make sure no parts are damaged or missing, and pack it very carefully to be sure all the gaskets and seals will arrive at your door safely and in perfect condition.

  • Head gaskets are 0.046″ copper, base gaskets are 0.031″ thickness.
  • Primary cover and cam cover gaskets are 0.031″ thickness.
  • All the oil seals are spring-loaded, except for the very smallest one which is too small for a spring.
