This is a complete engine rebuild gasket and seal kit for the Late 1973 through 1976 1000cc Sportster, and it comes with 0.020″ (0.5mm) thickness copper head gaskets.

We pack the kit carefully.  We check the parts and pack your kit up securely so you can be sure every single gasket and seal will get to you in perfect condition – anywhere in the world.

The photo shows you just what parts are included in the kit that will arrive at your door. You will receive every gasket, seal and O-ring you see in the photograph. (The color of some parts may vary.)

****Some kit specs****

• Head gaskets are 0.020″ (0.5mm) copper.
• Base gaskets are approximately 0.031″ high temperature.
• Primary gasket is unbeaded, a nominal 0.020″ or thicker.
• All the larger oil seals have spring-loaded rubber lips.  (The very tiny oil pump seal is too small for a spring.)
• The 12 pushrod cover washers are cork – about 0.175″ thick (4.5mm or just under 3/16″).

Late 1973 through 1976 1000cc Sportsters – XL, XLH, XLCH

Head gasket notes: These head gaskets will fit 1972 through Early 1973 model engines only if the cylinder and head have been replaced with the newer style.  For the original 72-E73 model year, the cylinder bore is smaller and the head bolt pattern is slightly different so the head bolts will not fit through the holes in the newer gaskets.

• This kit has a starter gasket.
  If your bike does not have a starter, please let us know so we can substitute a “Starter Blockoff Gasket”. The blockoff gasket is the same shape and high quality as the long starter gasket, but doesn’t have the hole in the middle where the starter goes.
