This is a complete engine rebuild gasket and seal kit for the 1982 through 1985 1000cc Sportster.
The standard head gaskets have been replaced with the thinner 0.020″ (~0.5mm) thick copper head gaskets to give you a little higher compression.
(We also offer this kit with the standard 0.046″ (~1.2mm) head gaskets. Please see another one of our listings – or just ask us about it.)
The photo shows every gasket, seal and O-ring that is included in the kit you will receive. The colors of some gaskets vary from time to time. Note: Accidentally we took a picture of the wrong (an older) primary gasket. Your kit will have the correct one.
We will re-pack the kit. We pack up your kit securely so you can be sure all the gaskets and seals will get to you in perfect condition – anywhere in the world.

- Primary cover and cam cover gaskets are 0.031″ (0.8mm) thickness.
- The two large main shaft oil seals are spring-loaded.
