This Primary Cover Gasket is “Foamet” – rubber on both sides of a steel core. It is installed without any sealant; the rubber on the front and back will give you the best seal and doesn’t need any help.

Two Gaskets in this one package  are not only a bargain price, but the second gasket doesn’t cost any more to ship, so you get basically Free Postage for the second gasket. The postage for this 2-pack is exactly the same as for our single gasket listing. (We don’t make a killing on the postage either way – the post office charges for an even 1 lb. – 90% of the shipping weight is the box!)

In case you didn’t notice… this gasket looks almost the same as the 1994-up gasket, but it does not fit 1994-up. The two lower bolt holes at the back of the gasket (toward the rear of the bike) were moved about 1″ (25mm) from 1994. From 1994 and up you will need our P/N 38138 primary gasket.

So that your gaskets arrive in perfect condition… we ship all our primary chain-cover gaskets perfectly flat. We never fold, roll or otherwise allow any gasket to get damaged in shipping.
