Cam Change Gasket and Seal Kit
for 1970 through 1984 Shovelhead

This is a cam service gasket kit that includes the gaskets, seals and pushrod O-ring seals you would normally need for all the Shovelhead Big Twin engines from 1970 through the 1984 model year.
The cam gear cover gasket – or “nose cone” gasket – in this kit is about 0.039″ (1 mm) thick and has a silicone bead around the entire perimeter on one side of the gasket. You should find it gives you a very good seal. (The color of the silicone beading may vary.)
From Late 1979 the pushrod cover seals changed from the cork “washers” to rubber O-rings or Quad Seals (a quad seal is like an O-ring with a square cross-section). All of the seal styles are included in this kit. Of course you will have parts left over, but you will be sure to have every Shovelhead year covered.
