Top End Rebuild Gasket Kit  

with MLS Head Gaskets for 1200cc Sportster

This is a complete Top End Gasket Kit with rubber rocker box gaskets, and 0.030″ (0.76mm) thickness MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) head gaskets for the 1200cc engine. Will also work on 1100cc engine but the head gaskets will be slightly oversize. The base gaskets are the same for 883, 1100 and 1200cc motors.

Cylinder Base gaskets are quality fibre about 0.024″ (0.60mm) thickness.

If you prefer Foamet cylinder base gaskets (rubber on both sides of a steel core), just let us know when you order your kit. We can substitute them at the same price. However, note that the foamet gaskets are a little thicker than the fibre. .

Rocker Base gaskets are 1-piece style rubber-coated SLS – Single Layer Steel.

  Exhaust gaskets are tapered style compressed wire mesh, filled to stop exhaust leakage.

Applications:  

  1200cc XL Sportster engine, 1986-90.

  1100cc XL Sportster engine, 1986-87 (head gaskets will be slightly oversize).

  This kit has the correct head gaskets for an 883 Sportster engine that has been converted to 1200cc.
